I think it's safe to say that camo is definitely a staple/closet classic. There has always been something camo in my closet— whether it be pants, a jacket or a bag. Como is definitely timeless and can be paired with almost anything.

I found these cargos on my last trip to the Dominican Republic, my aunt was driving and I saw a lady selling clothes outside— I saw these from a mile away, screaaaamed and made my aunt stop! And now they are mine.

SLEEVELESS TRENCH

Hi!

The weather in New York has been all over the place, honestly. Mama nature (global warming) is not playing with us.
Ya’ll know i’m a big fan of a classic trench coat- it’s a staple piece in my opinion. I purchased this sleeveless trench for a shoot and ended up not using it, and kept it for myself haha! I love it because it allows for interesting layering. It is perfect for the weather we’ve been having lately where you don’t necessarily need a full coat but need to stay warm, that’s where the laying comes in. It’s comfy and easy to combine.

Happy Monday ya’ll!

Now that I am focusing on minimizing my wardrobe and creating somewhat of a capsule wardrobe for myself— I have been on the hunt for some classic high quality staple pieces. A few months ago, I was looking for a black blazer and scored this Givenchy tux blazer at a thrift store for the low low! (LOL)

Adding a blazer can change and elevate any look. You can take a pair of jeans to the next level by adding a blazer, like I did with this look. I paired this blazer with these vintage Tommy Hilfiger jeans and my favorite boots at the moment. To complete the look I added a vintage Gucci bum bag waist fanny pack to add some definition to my waist and add a bit of contrast to the black.

I am so proud and happy for my friend Ana. She was selected by FDLA to come to New York from Dominican Republic to showcase her collection for NYFW. Her collection “Atardecí” is inspired by the warm and hopeful sunsets in the Dominican Republic.

4 Year Anniversary

When I was 16 I decided to start my own fashion blog. I always had a passion for fashion but I didn't feel like I was taking it anywhere so I decided "Hey! Why not start a blog." And here I am 4 years later.
My blog may not be well-known or commercial and that's fine with me. That does not determine my success. What does is when someone says "Roger, I saw you wear that and you inspired me to go out and get it." or when someone says "You inspired me to try something new, thank you!" My blog is a place for anyone and everyone to feel inspired. So, thank you to all my friends and family who one way or another have been a part of my blog. And a HUGE thank you to my readers! How To Make A Statement at NYFW

So it is that time of year! It is NYFW! And the best way to get recognized is with a simultaneously polished and playful look. Don't be afraid to mix prints and play with colors. I love the layering with the two shirts and I feel that leopard/animal print shoes are an essential piece to have!
