Today marks 6 years of my first blog post. I started my blog as a way to document my style and interest for fashion but mostly to inspire others to discover theirs and own it. I am so grateful for my readers and the people I have met through my blog and for my friends and family who always showed their love and support. I love y’all.
Also, shoutout to my brotha @mr.ortiz_ for the pictures— follow him!
It's really tough to find someone to take my photos especially with different schedules. But i'm trying, haha! Today I hung out with my friend Grisell and just walked around the neighborhood, enjoying the beautiful weather.
I cannot believe it's been a month since I last blogged. I have been super busy lately and also my computer is kind've messed up so it makes it a little difficult to post.
As you all know today is thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for. I am amazed at how blessed I am. Now, I may not be exactly where I want to be but I am sure on my way and I truly believe that timing is everything. Sometimes we get so caught up in where we want to be and the "what ifs" that we don't stop and cherish the now, this moment.
I leave you guys with this: Appreciate your journey and remember that where you are right now is exactly where you need to be. Growth take time.
I'm sitting at home sipping some delicious café con leche and I cannot stop thinking of how the same way the season has changed, so have I. I was always afraid of change and wanted things to remain just as they were. Change is good and is a necessary part of growth. I have learned to accept and embrace things as they come.
I am not a big fan of the summertime. Well, no, scratch that- I'm not a big fan of really hot weather. But if there is one thing I love about summer time, it is when the day is ending and the weather begins to get cooler.
Yesterday my good friend Dorleen and I hung out after MONTHS of not seeing each other. It was refreshing to be able to catch up and realize that nothing has changed. I love friendships like that! We hung out in Inwood and went to a secret little spot to watch the sunset. It was beautiful!
Moving on to my outfit. Since the weather has been increasingly warmer now I really wanted to go for something fresh, and comfy. I purchased this Tunic dress from American Apparel and I love how diverse it is. I added the belt to add some color and definition to my waist.
On Thursday, I had the opportunity to hang out with my friends Aisha and Jolina, and my baby boy Mikko! I was so excited to see them, its been so long since we spent some time together! We took baby Mikko to the park, snapped a few pictures and pigged out hahaha! We had Nutella pizza with strawberries and banana slices on top. Yummmmy!
On another note, sometimes when I can't find what to wear I opt for a black and white look, it's quick and simple. A little too simple for me, haha! so I decided to play with colors. I just love mixing Blue and Yellow. What colors do you like to mix?
Although technically it is already spring, I feel like we're still transitioning. The temperature is cold, but slowly rising. Thankfully all the snow has melted and hopefully we start to see the beautiful colors of spring.
For a very long time I had been looking for a plaid suit. It's a classic, and I needed it! But as you all may know, coordinates can be a bit pricey. When a friend of mine showed me this suit in a Target catalog, I loved it! Originally I was going to order it online but it was way too pricey with shipping and all. A few months passed by and I walked into a target store and there it was, The suit I loved, ON SALE!
