On Wednesday was one of my closest friend's birthday and we decided to go on a weekend getaway to a friend's house in Reading, Pennsylvania. If you follow me on Instagram then you know how muchI love traveling. It's nice going on a mini vacation close to home.

It's been a while since I last posted and a lot has happened. Thankfully, I have been working more on my styling and I am super excited to launch my styling portfolio! I also turned 21 last week. I am so thankful for another year of life. I am grateful for my friends and family. I am humbled by the presence of my ancestors who allow me to be a source of light in my everyday encounters.
Also, yesterday was my mom's birthday. So we decided to celebrate together and go out for brunch. I've always said that for my 21st birthday I wanted to dress in all white. The color white symbolizes purity, innocence, wholeness and completion. White is a color of protection and encouragement offering a sense of peace and calm, comfort and hope. Dressing in all white offers an inner cleansing and what better way to welcome a new year of life? xoloo
I am kicking off fashion week with the CARLEEN Spring/Summer 17' presentation. The theme of this collection is patchwork meets poolside. While looking at this collection, the delicate hues of blue stood out to me as well as the intricate quilting patterns, giving me a very nostalgic feeling of afternoons in the Dominican Republic by my aunt's pool.
I am back in New York from my getaway to Dominican Republic and to be honest, I didn't want to come back. I mentioned a few blog posts ago that when I travel back home I come back a new version of myself. Visiting puts things into perspective. I had a reality check while I was there. Sometimes we put our dreams aside because we get distracted in our daily life. In my case, I had been putting my career as a Wardrobe Stylist to the side because I was caught up in everything else. I realized I needed to do what makes ME happy, even if that means taking a risk.
I'm truly obsessed with these culottes from Olly Oxen Free Vintage, not only are they chic but they go with pretty much anything. I took them with me all over my trip, hahaha! I even wore these on my birthday.
I am back in New York City and although I am happy to be back, I am missing my country more than ever! I miss my beautiful friends and amazing family. I miss the warm breeze and I miss the architecture. I am so inspired by the houses in the Dominican Republic and I think this outfit is a good representation of that.
About two years ago my aunt gifted me this blouse. Isn't it BEAUTIFUL ya'll?
I named this look "Abrazo La Vida (I Hug Life)" not only because of the song I will share with you all but because I am greatly thankful. I am thankful for my friends and family who genuinely care and worry for me. Every time I travel I feel like I come back a new person, a better version of myself. My trip put some things into perspective for me and that is one of the biggest blessings, to learn and evolve.

This cold has me craving walking down a beach dressed in all white linen. So I went ahead and dressed in all white and made it a little more weather appropriate with some icy bling and dark fur haha!
I love the contrast of the softness of the pastels and the olive green. I don't want to let go of spring so I'm holding on to at least the colors. Haha!
I can't stop wearing this adorable backpack from the Deal Sale App! It's so easy and it looks amazing!
As fall is approaching I am so excited to bring out my fall favorites and to start layering my looks!
I absolutely love this jumpsuit I purchased from American Apparel. It is so versatile, fits amazingly and I got it on SALE YAY! Every time I wear this jumpsuit I get infinite amount of compliments.

This is such a great look for when you're feeling lazy while on vacation. It's easy, breezy and stylish! This striped tee is great for one of those days because it's stylish but you still get the comfort of wearing a t-shirt. Pair it with a pair of distressed denim shorts and comfortable sandals. Accessorize with a fedora, your favorite belt and some funky sunnies and you're good to go!

Happy Friday everyone! I love sharing my outfits and a little bit about my life with you guys! This week has been so much fun, as you've probably seen on my Instagram!
Yesterday I was feeling a bit adventurous and I wanted to wander out and explore. I called up my friend Kirstie, and well.. the rest is history! There is something so freeing and gratifying about exploring new places and venturing out. Something in my spirit just longs for adventure. Hahaha. I am so grateful for my friends who love and accept me just as I am. Plus, they are always willing to join me on my shenanigans!
I absolutely love high waist denim shorts. They are perfect for the summer and are so easy to wear! They are perfect for a day at the beach.
Hi there my fellow bloggers, so we meet again. I've been trying my best to blog more consistently and it's going pretty well. But, I have to say, it's not AT ALL easy! I say that because one, sometimes I find it hard to find someone to take my pictures. Not all of my friends have the same schedule as I do. Secondly, when I do find someone to take my pictures, we have to rush and shoot before sunset. You can already see where I'm going with this. So with that being said, being a Fashion Blogger is not as simple as it may seem (I always tell people that!) I will be doing a post in the future on how to prepare for a shoot, so you guys stay tuned! xo
So moving on to my outfit. Let me tell you guys how my granny came to the rescue and contributed to this outfit(which I LOVE!) Originally I was going to wear this outfit with my staple, a white button down shirt but the weather in New York has been so inconsistent lately that I needed an extra layer, according to my grandma. We all know how grandmas can be, haha! But she suggested I throw the sweater over and I just loved it! I loved the color and the detail. It was just perfect!
Although technically it is already spring, I feel like we're still transitioning. The temperature is cold, but slowly rising. Thankfully all the snow has melted and hopefully we start to see the beautiful colors of spring.
For a very long time I had been looking for a plaid suit. It's a classic, and I needed it! But as you all may know, coordinates can be a bit pricey. When a friend of mine showed me this suit in a Target catalog, I loved it! Originally I was going to order it online but it was way too pricey with shipping and all. A few months passed by and I walked into a target store and there it was, The suit I loved, ON SALE!
Hey loves! I know I'm two days late but Happy Spring!
I had the pleasure of running into The Nomad Truck today while doing some shopping in Brooklyn. I was so struck by it not only because I have never seen anything like it before (at least in New York) but also, because the pullover sweater on display was calling my name! Hahaha!
EVERYONE that knows me knows that I love a good sale. So when I heard American Apparel was having a 90% OFF, I had to run over there! Most likely I will be posting the items I purchased on Instagram so follow me at @RogerDeMonserrath
My first reaction when I saw this graphic tee(tank) was distressed denim shorts and a wide brim fedora. I really wanted to incorporate it into my outfit today but the weather isn't quite there yet. And then it hit me "Roger, add one of your favorite pieces," a white button down shirt!

Happy Sunday! I hope you all have a great week ahead ♥
This past weekend I had a sleepover with my two friends Kirstie and Maria. As some of you may know there was a snow storm here in NYC so we were literally locked inside. Being the adventurous friend that I am, It was my bright idea to hit the streets! Hahaha. We walked the park, took amazing pictures and had fun all in the freezing cold!
I really wanted to incorporate color into this outfit because I feel that when winter comes around, there's always a dark cloud hovering over us (Fashion wise.) If that makes any sense... Haha! I love the color coral and when I found this coral coat I thought to myself "It is perfect, I NEED it!"
Yesterday was such a good day! It's so intriguing to me that only a few minutes away from New York City are boroughs that are so different. For example, Staten Island. I went there yesterday with my friend Danneris to visit some of her family and since I'd never been there before, they showed me around town. I was so busy thinking "What time am I going to get home?" "I have this to do" "I have that to do" that I totally ignored the fact that I was in a new place that I had never been to before. Well anyway, the point here is that sometimes we get so caught up in our daily routine that we ignore the little things in life. Sometimes we just need to take a deep breath and say "It's ok."
Oh, I had IHOP for the first time yesterday, it was sooooo good! Well, now I am back to the rush hour of New York City! Shirt: H&M Shirt (Plaid): Target Pants: Thrift + DIY Sneakers: Target Long coat: Thrifted
Lately I have been listening to a lot of train performers. I'm in love!
