Matchy Matchy

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have already seen me post this matching set from H&M.  I was pretty excited to finally wear it, I've had it for over a year and never paired it together.  

I decided to mix prints not only because I love doing so, but also because I love the clash of these two prints. They just go so well together! Instead of opting for a shoe that pops (like I usually do so,) I just really liked the "matchy matchy" effect the loafers add to this outfit.

The Perfect Fit

Although technically it is already spring, I feel like we're still transitioning. The temperature is cold, but slowly rising. Thankfully all the snow has melted and hopefully we start to see the beautiful colors of spring. 

For a very long time I had been looking for a plaid suit. It's a classic, and I needed it! But as you all may know, coordinates can be a bit pricey. When a friend of mine showed me this suit in a Target catalog, I loved it! Originally I was going to order it online but it was way too pricey with shipping and all. A few months passed by and I walked into a target store and there it was, The suit I loved, ON SALE!

WILD CHILD

Hey loves! I know I'm two days late but Happy Spring! 
I had the pleasure of running into The Nomad Truck today while doing some shopping in Brooklyn. I was so struck by it not only because I have never seen anything like it before (at least in New York) but also, because the pullover sweater on display was calling my name! Hahaha! 

EVERYONE that knows me knows that I love a good sale. So when I heard American Apparel was having a 90% OFF, I had to run over there! Most likely I will be posting the items I purchased on Instagram so follow me at @RogerDeMonserrath

My first reaction when I saw this graphic tee(tank) was distressed denim shorts and a wide brim fedora. I really wanted to incorporate it into my outfit today but the weather isn't quite there yet. And then it hit me "Roger, add one of your favorite pieces," a white button down shirt!

Style Sunday: The Kymberly

It's been a while since I last did a Style Sunday, huh? I am so sorry ya'll. My blog has been mainly concentrated on me and how I style myself. I've kind of lost sight of what it is that I love doing and that is making others feel confident and beautiful! Also, it's been a bit difficult getting together with some of my friends since we have such different schedules. But, I am back now and I am going to try to make Style Sunday a bit more habitual. 

Now, let's talk about this outfit for a second. This is by far one of my favorite outfits I've styled someone in! When I style someone, I like to take into account that person's personality and personal style. My dear friend Kymberly is a ball of FUN and is a huge flirt, hahaha! I mean I love this outfit, it's just so... Kymberly!

Today, meet one of my favorite pair of sneakers. I've had these sneakers for about 5 years now and I'm still in love with them as much as I was when I first saw them. While my wardrobe has been inundated with loafers, oxfords, booties and slip-ons, I thought a good ol' pair of Nike Blazers would be a bit refreshing.

Hello lovelys. So the weather in NYC is amazing today! Despite the snowstorm we had earlier this week, the sun is out and doing it's thang honey!
I've always been fascinated with head wraps/turbans and I have many cool scarves that I've been playing around with lately. It's a great accessory and it's also a great alternative if you're having a bad hair day, we all have them! Hahaha!

Snow Day Fun

This past weekend I had a sleepover with my two friends Kirstie and Maria. As some of you may know there was a snow storm here in NYC so we were literally locked inside. Being the adventurous friend that I am, It was my bright idea to hit the streets! Hahaha. We walked the park, took amazing pictures and had fun all in the freezing cold! 
I really wanted to incorporate color into this outfit because I feel that when winter comes around, there's always a dark cloud hovering over us (Fashion wise.) If that makes any sense... Haha! I love the color coral and when I found this coral coat I thought to myself "It is perfect, I NEED it!"

As Simple As Black

A few weeks ago the weather was absolutely impeccable. I decided it was the perfect opportunity to pull out my cropped sweater I purchased from Forever21. It's amazing how when wearing all black you can take a simple piece and it makes a statement. I paired my Adidas joggers with my cropped sweater. I mean, who doesn't love to be comfortable and chic all at once?

Watch Out, The Worlds Behind You

I am currently obsessing over cutesy sweaters. I used to wear sweaters ALL THE TIME my sophomore year in high school but I stopped because of constant scrutinization of "looking fat." I know- kinda silly, right? When I came across this sweater at Olly Oxen Free Vintage, it was a MUST. I thought this sweater was perfect for the Holidays.
