I have a perfectly acceptable excuse for my absence on the blog — I have just got back from a vacation to the Dominican Republic. I didn't mention anything on here because it was a surprise trip! It's a personal goal of mine to travel and so, i'm trynna make it happen. Traveling is super important to me because it inspires me on so many levels.
This cold has me craving walking down a beach dressed in all white linen. So I went ahead and dressed in all white and made it a little more weather appropriate with some icy bling and dark fur haha!
As soon as I got this vest, I could not wait to put it on! It's perfect for layering on cold days like today. This vest also has matching pants! ;) Ya'll know how much I love co-ordinates.
Hi my loves! Lately I have been such a sneaker boy! I just love my new Pumas and they are my favorite color! I have so many gold shoes- I am obsessed!

Up until my Freshman year of high school I was a complete "sneaker head" and then my style kind of changed and sneakers weren't my thing anymore. Throughout the years I have managed to keep all of those sneakers although I don't wear them, I guess a part of me is attached. But out of all those sneakers, these are very dear to me! I loved and still LOVE these sneakers. I love the color, the style, the fit-- they're just perfect. Also, I remember I went through hell and high water to get these. I walked all over the city, checked about like 10 sneaker stores(seriously) and just ended up ordering them online. That just proves how much I really wanted these.

I was always afraid of change and wanted things to remain just as they were. Change is good and is a necessary part of growth. I have learned to accept and embrace things as they come.

I could not have asked for a better way to spend summer 2015 other than being in the Dominican Republic with my amazing friends and family. While there, I was able to meet up with my good friend Dorleen which was also on vacation. A huge thank you to her for welcoming me into her family's home and being the lovely person that she is! ♥
I honestly cannot put into words how amazing my trip to the Dominican Republic was! I am so grateful for my beautiful friends and family and everyone else I met while I was there. I am also grateful for the health of my grandparents-- I am so thankful that I was able to spend time with them.
Although it was not my first time visiting, this by far has been my favorite trip so far. I was reminded of how loving, caring and full of life my people are despite their circumstances. My culture and my people fill me with pride.

A pair of blush colored pants have been on my wish-list for a very long time! I was beyond happy when I found this pair on Boohoo last month. When I received them in the mail I noticed they were extremely bright, almost fluorescent. Which made me love them even more! So what do you think? Are they blush or coral? Or, the perfect in between?
