Criança Selvagem
Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a great weekend ♥ I had a pretty hectic weekend from work to one of my closest friend's baby shower, to now packing for my trip. I am leaving to the Dominican Republic on Tuesday and I have not done any packing what so ever! In the middle of all of this, I still took some time to hang out with my friend and have some fun or maybe I am just procrastinating! Hahaha.
I have always loved carnivals/street fairs since I was a little boy. The lights, the food, the people, and all of the fun-- I just love it! Moving on to my outfit, I wanted to be really comfortable. A muscle tank, distressed shorts, and accessories are the way to go.

Free Spirit
Happy Friday everyone! I love sharing my outfits and a little bit about my life with you guys! This week has been so much fun, as you've probably seen on my Instagram!
Yesterday I was feeling a bit adventurous and I wanted to wander out and explore. I called up my friend Kirstie, and well.. the rest is history! There is something so freeing and gratifying about exploring new places and venturing out. Something in my spirit just longs for adventure. Hahaha. I am so grateful for my friends who love and accept me just as I am. Plus, they are always willing to join me on my shenanigans!
I absolutely love high waist denim shorts. They are perfect for the summer and are so easy to wear! They are perfect for a day at the beach.

Birthday Suit
Happy Thursday everyone!
This past Sunday was my 19th birthday! I want to thank everyone for their beautiful wishes and for making my birthday special. This past year I have learned so much. It was an emotional roller coaster but I gained some really good lessons, a new found strength, wisdom and a more positive attitude.
So we all know how much I love a two piece suit and what better day than your birthday to wear one?! I saw this set at Forever21 and I was literally in love. I automatically thought to pair it with my Flamingo shirt, which I think is one of my favorite pieces I own(I say that about almost everything) Haha!
Cheers to growing a year older, to learning, to loving and to wearing shirts with flamingos all over them! ♥

My Uptown.
I am overwhelmed by feelings of nostalgia every time I go to Inwood (uptown Manhattan.) Maybe because I spent the majority of my childhood there. Or maybe because it is where my culture is engraved.

Little Pleasures
Hi my loves! Unfortunately I haven't been blogging as much as I would like because my computer is messed up, it's literally going crazy! It turns on and off on it's own. Crazy, right?
My cousin and cousin in law gifted this backpack to me from their honey moon trip to Mexico and I honestly love it! I love the pattern and I'm amazed by how much it's able to fit inside! My friends literally call me a pharmacy because I always have a big bag with EVERYTHING inside! Haha. You can find anything from Perfume to Mentol vapor rub in my bag, I'm always prepared.
I've had these overalls for over a year now and I constantly catch myself stopping myself from wearing them because if it were up to me, I'd wear them with everything! They are so chic, comfortable and I love the way they fit!

At Dusk
I am not a big fan of the summertime. Well, no, scratch that- I'm not a big fan of really hot weather. But if there is one thing I love about summer time, it is when the day is ending and the weather begins to get cooler.
Yesterday my good friend Dorleen and I hung out after MONTHS of not seeing each other. It was refreshing to be able to catch up and realize that nothing has changed. I love friendships like that! We hung out in Inwood and went to a secret little spot to watch the sunset. It was beautiful!
Moving on to my outfit. Since the weather has been increasingly warmer now I really wanted to go for something fresh, and comfy. I purchased this Tunic dress from American Apparel and I love how diverse it is. I added the belt to add some color and definition to my waist.

The Color Purple
Happy Wednesday everyone!
According to Crystal Cure (click), Purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Also, the color purple represents meanings of creativity, wisdom, dignity, pride, independence, mystery and magic. I was really inspired by the color purple when putting together this outfit.
I wore this on Monday to do some shopping with friends. Since we were going to be in SoHo, I figured we'd be doing a lot of walking (and I was right, haha!) so I decided to wear sneakers. I've expressed my love for these sneakers before but I just can't get enough! They are so fashionable, comfortable and I can literally pair them with anything!

Mixing Blue And Yellow
On Thursday, I had the opportunity to hang out with my friends Aisha and Jolina, and my baby boy Mikko! I was so excited to see them, its been so long since we spent some time together! We took baby Mikko to the park, snapped a few pictures and pigged out hahaha! We had Nutella pizza with strawberries and banana slices on top. Yummmmy!
On another note, sometimes when I can't find what to wear I opt for a black and white look, it's quick and simple. A little too simple for me, haha! so I decided to play with colors. I just love mixing Blue and Yellow. What colors do you like to mix?

Orange You Glad
Hey my loves! I enjoy sharing new outfits and catching up with all of you. Nothing new has really been going on, just working a lot! Before I began working at American Apparel I thought that I would be a bit limited to what I can wear being that I have to dress all in American Apparel but I haven't felt that way at all, at least not yet.. Hahaha! I am still able to play with colors and prints which you all know I love! ♥

Work Casual
Hi ya'll! ♥
I am so happy to tell you all that I am now employed by American Apparel. Although my feet hurt, working has made everything a bit better, safe to say. My closet will soon be full with clothing from American Apparel being that we have to wear their clothing head to toe and I am so excited!
Although I'll be spending most of the week working, I will not let that get in the way of blogging! This is a perfect example. I took a 15 minute break and my co-worker was kind enough to snap these amazing pictures of me! Thanks Quinn! XO

When In Doubt, Mix Prints
Hi my loves!
I had so much fun on Saturday! I heard about the Queens Night Market some time last week and I thought to myself "I have to go!" I was really excited to be a bit daring and try some new foods. Unfortunately, I wasn't daring or brave enough. There was a wide variety of vendors, they had everything from chocolate chip cookies to pig heart. Yes, pig heart! I stuck to good ol' tacos, which in fact were AMAZING!
Now we all know when it comes to what I wear I am daring and I love to mix prints. Originally I was thinking of wearing this snakeskin print suit with a white button down shirt or a grey tee but that was so "basic" to me. I wanted to add some contrast and I knew this shirt would be perfect in doing that! I mean you know my motto, "When in doubt, mix prints!" I added my black loafers and black fedora hat to bring everything together.
Shirt: I can't remember where I purchased this! Sorry :(

Herringbone Culottes
Happy Sunday ya'll! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! ♥ I purchased this pair of Culottes this winter and I have been going crazy to wear them! Hahaha! Now that we are transitioning into warmer weather, I finally had the opportunity to wear them. In wanting to make the shorts the focal point of the outfit, I paired them with a basic white tee but ya'll know me, I LOVE details! So, I also added pastel yellow socks, my awesome Jump From Paper bag and my Glitter American Apparel Dance shoes I purchased while they were having their 90% OFF sale.

Classic & Comfy
Hi there my fellow bloggers, so we meet again. I've been trying my best to blog more consistently and it's going pretty well. But, I have to say, it's not AT ALL easy! I say that because one, sometimes I find it hard to find someone to take my pictures. Not all of my friends have the same schedule as I do. Secondly, when I do find someone to take my pictures, we have to rush and shoot before sunset. You can already see where I'm going with this. So with that being said, being a Fashion Blogger is not as simple as it may seem (I always tell people that!) I will be doing a post in the future on how to prepare for a shoot, so you guys stay tuned! xo
So moving on to my outfit. Let me tell you guys how my granny came to the rescue and contributed to this outfit(which I LOVE!) Originally I was going to wear this outfit with my staple, a white button down shirt but the weather in New York has been so inconsistent lately that I needed an extra layer, according to my grandma. We all know how grandmas can be, haha! But she suggested I throw the sweater over and I just loved it! I loved the color and the detail. It was just perfect!
Having a little hair moment.. Haha!

Sunday Brunch
Hi my loves! Let me start off my saying that yesterday was one of the best days EVER! My sister, our cousin, a good friend and myself went out for brunch. I suggested we all go to Miss Favela mainly because I have been wanting to go there for over a year now and secondly, because it's walking distance. Hahaha! Well let me say I am beyond satisfied, it was love at first sight. It definitely wont be my last time going there! The food was amazing. Also, they have Forró Sundays. Forró is a energetic yet romantic style of music from Brazil, the Northeast to be exact. After brunch, the restaurant turned into one big party, which was awesome! I had so much fun. I also fell in love with the entrance. It almost felt as if I weren't even in New York. It reminded me so much of my family's house in the Dominican Republic.
